Why This Board & Train is Different
1
One Trainer. Your Dog.
I personally train every dog. No assistants, no hand-offs, no junior trainers learning on your dog.
15
A Farm, Not a Facility
15 acres of working farmland surrounded by acres of woodland — sheep, chickens, wildlife, a training circuit, training barn, open terrain. Your dog trains where distractions are real.
4
Four Dogs. That's It.
Maximum four dogs in training at any time. This is personal attention, not a production line.
T
Training That Travels
Field trips to towns, stores, and public spaces so the training holds everywhere your life takes you.

Far exceeded expectations. Joshua is a gifted trainer with a real knack for understanding and adjusting both my own and my dog's behavior. Will return.

King K9 was a great investment for my family. Our dog Joy is doing great with the skills we learned. This program has allowed us more freedom...

Because I train every dog personally and take only four at a time, availability is limited. If you're considering a program, a quick phone call is the best way to check timing and fit.
Prefer to train your dog yourself? We offer small-group dog training classes on the farm — same trainer, same environment, maximum three dogs per class. View Dog Training Classes →
About Your Trainer
My name is Joshua Antell
I've been training dogs professionally for over 20 years. I've studied animal behavior and learning theory at Harvard University, trained under world-champion protection dog trainers, and been mentored by leaders in the International Association of Canine Professionals.
But what matters most is this: I train every dog myself. I've built a small operation on purpose — because better training happens with fewer dogs, more attention, and an environment that actually challenges them.

Farm-Based Dog Training
in Richmond, Maine
Your dog doesn't train in a parking lot or a spare bedroom. They train on 15 acres of working farmland in Richmond, Maine — with sheep, chickens, ducks, open fields, wooded trails, and a soon to be completed confidence course. When they're ready, they go on field trips to towns and stores along the midcoast.
It's the real world. And that's the point.

Schedule Your Free Dog Training Consultation
